Profit is essential for the every organization to make the payment of day to day expenses, interest and dividend and to increase the wealth of the company. In this study we have calculate various profitability position of the business. In this regard, various ratios have been calculated like gross profit, operating profit, profit before tax and profit after tax, assets turnover ratio then operating cost ratio and return on capital employed ratio. These ratios have been analyzing the overall profitability position of Oil and Natural Gas Corporation limited. The data have been collected from the annual report of Oil And Natural Gas Corporation Limited covering the period of ten years starting from 2006-07 to 2015-16 and the data analysis have been tested by using one sample of student t-test.
